    Crazy Busy

So it's been almost a month.  *yikes!*  Our trip up north was tons o' fun, notwithstanding a few people getting hit with a "digestive bug" (I won't gross you out with details) and a few others getting hit with an ear-plugging, voice-stealing cold (moi, for one).  The weather on the Oregon coast was cool, misty and occasionally windy.  In other words, just fine!    It was an immense blessing spending so much time with such wonderful friends.  I was surprised I didn't spend most of my thought-life up there fretting about wedding plans and thinking about what I should be doing.  Instead, God blessed us with a refreshing, relaxing vacation.  Once we came back inland, it warmed up a bit, but not uncomfortably so.   The second week we were one big, 12-person happy family (give or take a few overnight visitors here and there), enjoying each other's company and the various activities we'd planned.

In the midst of the "organized chaos", we were able to purchase the bridesmaid dresses and shoes for one bridesmaid and the bride!  Since we weren't particularly hopeful of success, this was a pleasant surprise, indeed.  In God's providence, we have been able to get something accomplished that's wedding-related every day since we got back.  Who says a 3-month engagement is too short?
