I feel like
Paul Harvey.

Once upon a time, there was a mom who was having a
crazy day trying to plan an outing. In the end, the outing turned out even better than expected, because DH was able to come along, and he proved to be a
big help.
The day was so filled with white lies that at times it felt like it was snowing.

When we finally reached our destination, the person we were supposed to meet had not yet arrived. It was as it should have been. We were there for the preliminaries. When the person we were supposed to meet came on the scene, all was laid out for his perusal. Decisions were made, paperwork was done, and the three of us headed out to refresh ourselves with a delicious dinner and a fun visit.
In spite of the illness back home, it was a thoroughly delightful evening that resulted in the placing of this on DD#2's hand last Saturday:

That's my late mother's diamond in the middle (they shared the same middle name), and those are
tanzanites on each side. Ain't it purty?

I went there first and said other things, but how precious that the stone was her grandmother's. What a treasure that make it!

Oh, I love the color surrounding the diamonds! It is truely wonderful news. We are so proud of all of your girls, and are encouraged by your faith day by day. Oh, I have to tease and say that those "seven children" you wrote about a few blogs ago...weren't they just adorable?? he hee. The real miracle of that story is that none of the children got sick!! Much love to you all.
Hurray! I've been waiting to see when and if Leah's courtship would turn into an engagement. Tell her I'm so happy for her. Do they have a date yet?
